Families as Allies joins the nation in respectfully recognizing Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s long-term service on the United States Supreme Court and her commitment to civil rights. Many people are not familiar with the ways she supported the civil rights of people with disabilities.
One of the most important things she did was write the majority opinion in the landmark Olmstead case. This case is the basis on which Mississippi was sued over its mental health system.
