A Conversation on Supporting Parents, Infants, Young Children, and the Workforce that Serve Them

October 27, 2020 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm CDT

Kate Sweeney Wasserman, MSW, LCSW-C

As our communities continue to respond and adjust during COVID-19, parents and caregivers of infants, toddlers, and young children remain concerned about addressing the competing needs of their children’s daily schedules and behavioral needs when we are all reeling with grief, anxiety and managing the ongoing uncertainty.

This conversation, facilitated by Kate Sweeney Wasserman, MSW, LCSW-C, Co-Director of Parent, Infant, and Early Childhood at the Institute, joined by other national early childhood mental health leaders, will invite discussion of challenges and solutions to support family and provider well-being in the context of a complex learning landscape. Panelists will consider issues related to education and behavioral health equity, special education supports, innovations in mental health supports via distance technology, educator well-being, and families as partners in student mental health.
