Tell Us What You Think and Receive a Gift Card in Appreciation

One of the ways Families as Allies works to make things better at the system’s level is gathering input from families about the best ways to design services and programs for our children. We have two opportunities to do that now: a Healthcare Survey and Early Childhood Focus Groups.

Healthcare Survey: We are working with the CHAMP Project to understand what it is like for families in Mississippi when they try to get help for their child’s emotions or behavior from their child’s doctor. We are asking families to share their feedback on this survey. What you share is anonymous (we will not know who you are).

Any family living in Mississippi raising a child between birth and 21 years of age can take the survey. We are especially interested in hearing from families whose children have challenges with their behavior or feelings. The first 300 people who respond will receive a $10 Walmart gift card.

Early Childhood Focus Groups: We are doing three focus groups with Mississippi parents and caregivers (a caregiver is someone who is raising a child who is not the child’s parent – for example, a grandparent or foster parent) of children ages birth to five who have social, emotional or developmental challenges.  Parents will be asked in the focus groups to share their thoughts about getting help for their children and to compare what happens to them to what happened to families in groups that we did a few years ago. Each focus group will last one hour.

One group will be done using Zoom, and two will be done as a phone conference call. Please sign up for only one focus group. Each focus group will last 30-45 minutes and you will receive a $25 Walmart gift card for participating. Here are the dates and times:
