We are grateful to St. Andrew’s Episcopal School for choosing Families as Allies as a site for its Service Learning Day on November 19. We are enjoying the spruced-up painting in our hallway and the decreased mountain of shredding in our copier room. We thank Hollie Jordan Marjonovic for arranging the day, Dan Roach for supervising the group, and, most of all, the students for helping us.
“We had a wonderful time visiting the offices of Families As Allies and helping out in any way we could,” said Coach Roach. “Our students especially enjoyed learning more about the work that Families As Allies does in the greater community and hearing from the directors and staff about the mission of the organization. Thank you all for having us and for all of the good work that Families As Allies does.”
We welcome visitors to Families as Allies and always try to learn from them. We appreciate not only the work the students did, but also their sharing their thoughts and ideas about how Families as Allies can best support families. They were a thoughtful and lively group and we learned important things from them.
