When people think about educating students with disabilities, the first thing that may come to mind is the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Although students can receive accommodations, related services, and special education under both Section 504 and IDEA, the two laws vary in several important ways. This presentation will give parents information to help them understand the law and what it means to their child or youth with special healthcare needs.
