Early Intervention: Written State Complaints
Parents of children receiving services from First Steps Early Intervention have important rights. There's a formal process to follow if they disagree about whether the requirements of Part C of the IDEA are being followed. Under Part C of the IDEA, you have the right to file a written state complaint (state complaint) when you want the state lead agency to investigate if the IDEA has been followed.
