2024 NAMI Mississippi State Conference on Mental Health

"Where Mental Meets Physical" Inspired by the new NAMI Hearts + Minds program, this year's theme was chosen as physical and mental health are connected to each other. In fact, research suggests that the two are so closely linked that they can even directly affect one another. For example, depression can increase one’s risk for diabetes, heart disease or stroke, and chronic conditions such as cancer or heart disease can increase a person’s risk of developing a mental health condition.
