Time is Right Special Education Conference
MDE’s Office of Special Education (OSE) will host the Time is Right Special Education Conference June 19-21, 2024, at the Jackson Hilton. The conference will feature fantastic speakers and breakouts to support anyone who impacts students with disabilities. There will be sessions for administrators, families, all teachers, early childhood, CTE, and service providers. Participants can earn up to 1.2 CEU credits, 10 SEMI credits, and/or 1 OSL upon MDE approval.

The Department of Mental Health Regular Board meeting will be held in person on June 19, 2025, at 9:00 am.

The Department of Human Services will host its CCDF 2025 2027 Triennial State Plan Public Hearing Virtually on June 19th, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

A Taste of Cafés: Like Riding a Bike (Dad’s Café)
Helping your child learn how to ride a bike is about encouraging them and helping them up when they fall. Success in life is just like riding a bike: having someone to cheer you on and help you up when you stumble can make a difference. Join us as we celebrate fathers’ presence in the lives of their children.
Community Outreach and Engagement Training
Families as Allies is training interested parents & caregivers to help with outreach in communities across MS. This training will focus on outreach at conferences & events, presenting to community groups about FAA, & supporting families with school & other types of meetings within communities.
Virtual NAMI Peer-to-Peer (NAMI Central Mississippi)
NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, 8-session course for adults living with mental health challenges. Sessions held on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-noon.
