Families as Allies is excited to spread the word about an important opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. The 2025 Mississippi disAbility MegaConference seeks dynamic presenters to share knowledge, experiences, and innovative ideas that can positively impact the disability community. This conference, taking place June 12-13, 2025, at the Hilton Jackson, offers a platform for advocates, professionals, and individuals with disabilities to connect and learn from one another. If you’re passionate about improving the lives of people with disabilities, this is your chance to contribute to a vital conversation.

The Call for Presentations is open now, and the program committee is interested in a wide range of topics relevant to people with disabilities. Whether your expertise lies in assistive technology, direct services, education, or mental health, your insights can help shape a more inclusive and supportive community. Presentations can also focus on employment, housing, recreation, or advocacy.

Notably, the committee encourages presentations by individuals with disabilities, ensuring the conference represents the voices and experiences that matter most.

If you have valuable knowledge or a story that inspires others, please consider submitting a proposal. Presentations are scheduled for one-hour sessions on either June 12 or 13. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with like-minded individuals, gain recognition for your work, and contribute to the growth and empowerment of the disability community. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this impactful event!

The deadline to submit your proposal is Friday, November 1, 2024. To apply, simply email the completed form and your one or two-page resume to mega@drms.ms.
