Families as Allies is training interested parents and caregivers (someone other than a parent raising a child with a behavioral health or related challenge) to help with outreach in communities across Mississippi. These trainings focus on outreach at conferences and events, presenting to community groups about Families as Allies, and supporting families with school and other types of community meetings within communities.
This Saturday, June 22, we are virtually training parents and caregivers on how to give a basic talk about Families as Allies in the community. The training is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. We will pay a training stipend to parents and caregivers who attend and also pay you a stipend for doing presentations after you complete the training. You can register using this link. If you have questions, please contact Jackie Taylor at 601-519-4161.
This is a great opportunity for families who want to get more involved with Families as Allies. It will help us reach more people about what we do and how we partner with families and communities. We hope to see you on Saturday!
